DURGA NAVARATRULU

The word Navaratri literally means nine nights in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshiped. The 10th day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or Dashera.

If Possible Chant  Devi Kavach Daily during Navratri, recitation of  Lalitha Sahasranamam (1000 Names of Devi) Daily during  9 days of Navaratri , recitation of Shri Ramcharitamanas, Devikhadgamala, Ambika Vijayam, Mahishasura Mardini Strotrams in the presence  of Photo of Maa Durga.

Perform Puja on  each day of Navaratri as follows: 


1st.  day  of Navaratri,  Devi as Maa Bala Tripura Sundari and chant Bala Tripura Sundari Astotram
2nd. day of  Navaratri,   Devi as Mata Annapoorna and chant Annapoorna Astotram
3rd. day of   Navaratri,  Devi as Maa Gayatri and chant Gayatri  Astotram
4th.  day of  Navaratri,   Devi as Maa Meenakshi Amman and chant Meenkshi Astotram
5th.  day of  Navaratri    Devi as Maa Lalitha Tripura Sundari and chant Lalitha Astotram
6th.  day of  Navaratri    Devi as Maa Mahalakshmi and chant Mahalakshmi Astotram
7th.  day of  Navaratri    Devi as Maa Saraswati and chant Saraswati Astotram
8th.  day of  Navatatri    Devi as Maa  Durga and chant Durga Astotram
9th   day of  Navaratri    Devi as Mahishasura Mardini and chant Mahishasura Astotram
